Each Market to Mealtime Educator would represent the Baltimore Partnership at one of the farmers markets in Baltimore City from one to three times per season for approximately four hours.

We hope to raise any amount to encumber costs such as publishing, field trips, events, and exploratory opportunities. Our desired goal is at least $5,000.00. Please contact Anthony Pena to donate to this project. Hello Bmore alums! I'm sure you can all remember that first day you drove/flew/trained it to Baltimore to begin the chapter that has brought you here today. It is that time of year again where we welcome our incoming corps members to Baltimore! Induction 2013 will be from Tuesday, June 18th to Sunday, June 23rd before they head off to Institute. We really want to showcase the experiences and leadership of alumni throughout the week - your voices are going to blow the 2013s away!
There will be many opportunities to engage with the incoming corps -- from attending or hosting to participating in or hosting a community service event. There will also be social events in nearly every neighborhood, and we are planning a large TFA Community picnic to close out the week. We want to involve you and tailored it to your interests and expertise. Please complete this survey to tell us a little bit more about how you want to be involved that week! Justin Garritt (Baltimore, 2011) is the Induction Coordinator who is leading alumni involvement - please reach out to him if you have questions, and he will be following up with details after you complete the survey! Thank you for your time, and we can’t wait to have you join us as we welcome the 2013 Baltimore Corps! TFA Teacher Appreciation Night!

David Letterman featured 10 Teach For America teachers (including a Baltimore 2013 corps member) on their reasons for becoming teachers. A funny and cute watch!
TFA Friends,
At the end of each school year, students at The Crossroads School prepare Presentations of Learning. This process requires each student to reflect on the progress that he or she has made by selecting work samples that best represent their development as a learner and citizen. These presentations are rich opportunities for students to present before a panel made up of parents, teachers, community members and their peers in order to articulate specific successes, struggles, projects, and experiences that have contributed to their learning. We are in desperate need of panelists for a few dates. Panelists help judge presentations and provide the authentic audience students need. We would be honored if you would consider spending a full day or a half day serving as a panelist for this year's Presentations of Learning. If anyone on the Baltimore Teach For America staff can join us, we would love to have them. The dates can be on any day between: Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 17th from 8 am-11 am & 12 pm-3 pm. Please respond to [email protected] with your contact information and a few dates and times that you are available. Thank you! Sincerely, Brian Zimmerman |
