Teach For America-Baltimore
We Can't Wait!
For the past five years, Maryland has ranked #1 for its public education; though this is great news for Maryland, the disparity is huge when we consider that only 6% of Baltimore City students are on the path to graduate from a 4-year college or university.
Our region is committed to ensuring that all students receive a quality education, and we are doing that by developing leaders at all levels of the educational ecosystem beginning with our corps members in the classroom. Right now, over 350 corps members are teaching in schools across Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Coupled with over 725 alumni leaders -- many of whom remain teaching or who go on to become school leaders, we are collectively working toward a vision that ONE DAY, all children in Maryland will receive an education that puts them on a path to college graduation and future life opportunities.
